At the changing of the seasons, it is important for us to cleanse our bodies and release any build up of toxins, physical and emotional, as well as doshas that have accumulated in the body. During the fall, we need to release excess Pitta, consisting of fire and water, which is elevated during the hot, humid summer months. This can be accomplished through a monodiet of kitchari (eating NOTHING but kitchari as many times as you need throughout the day for the duration of the cleanse) and a yoga practice geared towards release and reduction of excess heat in the body. This cleanse will consist of a 60 min practice of asana, pranayama, and meditation. Free kitchari is available after the practice. You may choose to do this cleanse for 1, 3 or 5 days.
